What led me painting this was not that area of my brain that contemplates naughty things all the time, but a special way of thinking that is computer programming. Say you have a piece of something — number, a little owl, anything really — and you apply a function on this something transforming it into something other. Then, taking the result and applying the same function again, and so on. This is called nesting.

In other news, why can’t I execute a decent flat wash of surroundings? It should be so simple yet wet paint does have a mind of its own. I’m so unhappy with my continuing failures.
